My Story

Susmitha is a medical graduate and a microbiologist from Christian Medical College, Vellore. Clinical immunology interests her and in a desire to understand immune responses first hand, she seized the opportunity to pursue Ph.D. under the Clinician-Ph.D. programme (initiated by IISc Bengaluru with CMC, Vellore) at immunoengineering lab IISc Bengaluru. She considers herself a late bloomer and believes in ‘better late than never’ at learning something new. No hobby can hold her interest for long and she is always exploring newer ones, the latest being gardening.
