My Story

Kaushika was born and raised in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. After completing her schooling at St. Joseph’s, she moved to Coimbatore to get her bachelor’s in Industrial Biotechnology at Government College of Technology driven by a deep curiosity to explore how the biological systems work. Upon joining the master’s program in Bioengineering at IISc, she discovered a growing passion for clinical and translational research, inspired by the potential to bridge fundamental science with real-world medical applications which led to her stepping into the Immunoengineering Laboratory. She balances her being an ambivert by meaningful social interactions and moments of solitude. She loves to write (though has frequent writer’s block) because ‘penning down thoughts should be the greatest feel’ is what she believes. In free time she binge-watches series.
