My Story

Jayashree is a Bangalorean living all her life here since birth yet not tired of Bangalore. She did her schooling at The New Cabridge High School, Bangalore followed by pre-university education at KLE College. Her keen interest in biology and medicine made her pursue BE in Biotechnology at RV College of Engineering, Bangalore. Driven by her interest in clinical research after a short stint at TCTD - IIT Bombay, she opted to pursue doctoral studies at Immunoengineering laboratory, BSSE. Her research interest include clinical immunology, translational research and data science for clinical applications. Aside from research, Jay loves to travel (preferably alone) and explore whenever she has a chance to escape from her routine life and never misses an opportunity to try adventurous activities. She is a crazy bibliophile and a voracious reader; but never satisfied with new additions, even though she can't make time to read anymore. In addition to books and travel, she also enjoys music, cooking, binge watching medical thrillers, gaming and gardening. Watching her plants grow and experimenting with their regeneration is her favourite hobby. She also loves to sketch and paint scenaries and does amateur photography infrequently. A cup of coffee (black or milk but strong) is enough to energize her to get her to do anything in the lab at any time of the day!
